Pulling Reggae apart and putting it back together again with a dose of Hip-hop, a dash of Rock, Ska and a whole lot of Soul, Dread Daze tunes up the positive vibrations and turns traditional reggae on it’s ear. The powerful sound they bring forth is uniquely their own, and their music speaks their truth in no uncertain terms.

Dread Daze was conceived in Los Angeles, but is a child of the world stage. Their authentic desire to use their music to open minds, change vibes and spread a message of peace and unity shines through in every song and has captured the ears of listeners across all genres as well as music promoters throughout the U.S. and around the world. Dread Daze’ exudes raw energy on-stage and forges a strong bond with audiences worldwide, while their huge grass-roots following and spirit of collaboration make them widely sought after – as evidenced by countless shows in clubs, festivals and other venues throughout the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

Together, Najashi (lead vocalist), Brian Ward/Belfast Posse (guitar/vocals), Donu D love Durden (drums), DJ Thergood (DJ/percussion), Steve(bass) Billy (lead guitar) Zolim (Keys) with guest musicians Al Keith on Percussions forms Dread Daze. Individually, they have made their mark in the music scene.

The band has performed with legends such as Chaka Khan, Roy Ayers, Beres Hammond, Israel Vibrations,Aswad,UB40, Don Carlos, Steel Pulse, Rebelution, Tribal Seeds, Fourtunate Youth, Iration, Slightly Stoopid, H.R from Bad Brains, Tomorrows Bad Seeds, Arrested Development, Pato Banton, Common, Capleton, Sizzla, Richie Spice, Luciano, Eek A Mouse, Half Pint, Mikey Dread, Wailing Souls, The Abyssinians, Don Carlos and many more. They’ve also recorded with members of The Black Eyed Peas, Jurassic 5,

Dread Daze New released Ep Guidance and Direction with songs Protection co produced by Steel Pulse legend Sydney Mills another song M.L.K features Selwyn Brown from Steel Pulse on Keys.

This latest endeavor will bring the Dread Daze audience more music to touch the mind and soul on a deeper level. Look for the band to continue to perform and excite music lovers worldwide.

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Dread Daze: Dread Daze is a band based in Los Angeles ,Ca. They are 7 members in the band all from different walks of life and vibes coming together to create a unique musical experience for the music lovers of the world.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Dread Daze: in a word its the times we are living in.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Dread Daze: Yes it is a must in this time vibration of the world there is so much of everything folks senses are over ran with massive amounts of music, information etc. so we do give our muisc away so folks will be able to get a good vibe on what Dread Daze is about and we hope they would support in other aspects as the musical journey rides onward and forward.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Dread Daze: Everyone has their own musical path . What we can say is do much research, vibe what other bands are doing link with the ones who gives you back the cool “lets help ech other vibes” and do what you feel fits your energy

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

Dread Daze : Great question. When you play raw and natural yes you do at times. Just human error which is real. But we know the big budget tours and some artist due to the advance of technology ,they perform to a pre recored show that is why at times you would here folks saying “the show sounds just like the record”. Which you know when a big budget is behind you and your doing a month or more tour there is no room for error hahaha. But you must give credit for that is much work and time put in when its so choreographed. Dread Daze we love the natural vibes

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

Dread Daze: We do tour a lot and we love to get out on the road and feel the vibe and energy of the people. It inspires the music we do. We would have to write a book on all the happenings we been through it all. Think it and it has happened hahah. But its all in the path and we would have it no other way.

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Dread Daze: We gathering songwriting vibes from everyday life ,Observations things we go through and things others go through. Our music is life music. All of it the good the bad the ugly. We get together as a unit and we let the music flow

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

Dread Daze: Hahahaha you will have to fine that on your own. Right now its all about our new Ep Guidnace and Direction.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Dread Daze: Travel the world and see how folks are living around the globe and eat some great food.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Dread Daze: The studio where we work out of here in Los Angeles is always enhancing the equipment they have. Right now we are grateful to be working with all the latest vibes.

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Dread Daze:
We do the online social media thing hard plus performing live,That gives the audience a more intimate feel of what we are all about

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

Dread Daze: Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix Any where in the world would be cool with us
We feel those two artist gave so much and influenced so many artist and in many genres of music that is would be a rager to jam on the same stage as them.

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Dread Daze: The Still Running video was realesed when we dropped the Ep in March. We have another video that will be released soon called MLK from the same Guidance and Direction Ep. We will be recording new music soon for a fall release and keeping the vibes and movemnets of Dread Daze progressing on

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Dread Daze: living and keeping it irie.

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

Dread Daze:
Rastaman Vibration by Bob Marley. Good music this is, We feel it in the depth of our soul.

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Dread Daze:That balance is a daily thing we strive to create but we need a roof over our heads and food to sustain. We are grateful it does all work out well.

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

Dread Daze: More music more visuals, High energy shows with the positive vibrations and message, Much laughs and irie times with the good folks we meet. And of course good food. Peace-in
